COVID rate over 3% in New York State, higher on Long Island

(East Farmingdale, NY)-  The New York State Coronavirus positivity rate topped 3% on Tuesday to reach a combined average of 3.2%.  On Long Island, the combined COVID positivity rate for both Nassau and Suffolk Counties was at 3.5% Tuesday.  In Suffolk County on Tuesday the COVID rate was 3.5% and in Nassau 3.1%.

Suffolk County Department of Health is advising Long Islanders to follow the CDC guidelines such as wearing a mask over your nose and mouth, staying six feet away from others, washing your hands frequently and staying home if you can.
