A small plane crashed into Long Island Sound Sunday morning. The Coast Guard says two people were on board the Piper-PA 32 on a flight that originated out of Bridgeport-Sikorsky Airport.

A spokesman for the Coast Guard said the plane sank but the two people were in the water with only minor injuries when they were rescued by a Coast Guard ship.
