On Tuesday morning, June 23rd, Nassau County Police Department responded to call of about a worker who fell through a hatch on a roof in East Garden City. Officials say the victim fell about 20 feet before landing onto another tier of roofing at 600 Merchants Concourse. Emergency Services Unit officers and the Westbury Fire Department were able to remove the 53 year old victim and he was transported to an area hospital with serious head trauma. A police medic, also suffered a minor injury and was transported to a hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
