Nassau Police Release New Info On A Cold Case

 

The Homicide Squad is investigating a Cold Case Homicide that occurred on November 4, 1982 in Freeport.

According to Detectives, the remains of a young female victim were discovered in a dumpster on North Main Street near the intersection of Mount Joy Avenue.  Detectives estimate the victim was in her teens or possibly her twenties and between 5 feet and 5’3” tall. She was found wearing a yellow heart pendant necklace with a green stone with the letter “K” in the center. Using Facial Recognition Technology, the above images depict what the victim was believed to have looked like.
