Nassau Police Major Case Bureau is investigating a shooting that occurred in Lakeview on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 6:50 am. According to detectives, Fifth Precinct police responded to the vicinity of Eagle Avenue and Hempstead Gardens Drive for shots fired. Upon police arrival, they observed a 39-year-old male victim lying on Eagle Avenue with a single gun shot wound in his back. The victim was transported to a local hospital in a Nassau County Police Ambulance and treated for his injuries. He is listed in critical but stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.
