  • NY Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday said that NY state has received 25 THOUSAND complaints of reopening violations.  Cuomo said the majority of the complaints came from Manhattan and the Hampton’s… and he threatened to pull liquor licenses of restaurants found breaking the rules and even reinstate closings in areas where local governments fail to enforce the guidelines.
  • Over the weekend peaceful protests against racial inequality continued across long island… Meanwhile protesters in Atlanta burned down a Wendy’s restaurant…. after an Atlanta police officer fatally shot a black man, Rayshard Brooks, during a sobriety check. The police officer has been fired.
  • Senate Republicans are ready to unveil a package of policing changes that includes new restrictions on \choke holds and other practices. The Senate bill is set to roll out Wednesday.
  • Today, Monday June 15th is the deadline for the special enrollment period for health insurance.  NY’ers who lost their health insurance can apply through the NY State of Health Marketplace
  • There’s been another nationwide BEEF recall over E-coli concerns…. A NJ Company issued the recall for 40 thousand pounds of ground beef – packages  of beef have the inspection number 46841″ inside the USDA mark of inspection.
  • Low Risk Youth SPORTS.. can resume on long island with phase, 3… that includes things like softball, baseball, gymnastics.. field hockey and cross county.
