Greta Thunberg (TUNE-BERG) has been named TIME Magazine’s 2019 Person of the Year. She has definitely made an impact on the world this year being retweeted and instagrammed by so many celebrities! Greta is only 16 making her the youngest recipient of the honor. She was chosen as Person of the Year over finalists Donald Trump, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the anonymous CIA whistleblower, and the Hong Kong protesters. The magazine also named the U.S. women’s soccer team its Athlete of the Year, and singer Lizzo its Entertainer of the Year.

For that reason, she is TIME’s 2019 Person of the Year. Read more about the #TIMEPOY choice at the link in bio. Photograph by @evgenia_arbugaeva for TIME; Video by @maxim_arbugaev for TIME
