Copy Kat: Katy Perry to Pay Up

Britain Katy Perry Concert

A jury unanimously found that Katy Perry’s song “Dark Horse” copied a 2009 Christian rap song called “Joyful Noise.”  It was a seven day trial where Katy and her producers said they had never heard of the song, or its artist, Flame.  A jury will now have to decide what damages Katy and her coauthors will owe to Flame and co-authors of “Joyful Noise.”  What do you think? Listen to each song yourself:

With season two just wrapped up, Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman talked to “Entertainment Weekly” about whether or not we’ll see a third season of “Big Little Lies.”  Reese said there are a number of factors that will determine if season three will be made.  “Is it as good as season one and two?  Does the audience still have questions?  Do we have answers?”  Kidman added the decision will be made as a group.  They also both denied rumors of any drama behind the scenes.

Selena Gomez celebrated her 27th birthday last week, and she just revealed one of the presents that her friends got for her. Selena is a huge fan of the ABC series Shark Tank and her friends got the producers to agree to let her visit the set in September, which they announced to her in a video montage.  The montage even includes shark Mark Cuban wishing Selena a happy birthday.
