Coram man sentenced to 25 years to life in shooting of Suffolk Police Officer

Janell Funderburke of Coram, was sentenced to 25 years to life for the attempted murder of Suffolk County Police Officer Michael LaFauci. Funderburke had pleaded guilty in June to aggravated attempted murder of a police officer and first-degree robbery.  The shooting happened on a Coram street in May of 2023.
