Representative Ronny Jackson applauded the Trump administration’s $51 million investment across rural Texas through the Rural Health Transformation Program to improve healthcare access and outcomes, including funding that will benefit rural hospital districts serving communities in Texas’ Thirteenth Congressional District.

The initiative will directly support rural health care providers serving Panhandle communities in TX-13, including: Childress County Hospital District, Dallam-Hartley Counties Hospital District, Deaf Smith County Hospital District, Hemphill County Hospital District, Memorial Hospital–Moore County Hospital District, North Wheeler County Hospital District, Ochiltree General Hospital and Wilbarger General Hospital

Established through House Republican’s One Big Beautiful Bill, the investment will support 68 rural hospital districts and authorities across Texas as they create and improve community-based prevention, wellness, and nutrition programs aimed at preventing and managing chronic conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, and obesity.
