The Durham Fair returns September 24th-27th, for its 106th year, four days of the largest agricultural fair in Connecticut.

The Main Stage brings two national acts, both included with admission: Queen Nation, a tribute to the music of Queen, on Friday, September 25th, and country star Tyler Hubbard on Saturday, September 26th. In total, four stages run all weekend long with every kind of music, from country and pop to rock.
Beyond the music, everything comes alive from every direction. Motorized events deliver the demolition derby, monster trucks, and tractor pulls, alongside the classic horse and oxen pulls that have been a Durham tradition for generations. Three livestock barns, exhibit halls full of prize-winning everything, the Discovery Center, and the Farm Museum round it all out, rooted first and always in agriculture and New England farm life.
This year opens with something special. Opening night features an America’s 250th parade, part of the celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial. Many departments are marking the milestone with new categories and themes, so it’s worth wandering the exhibit halls to see how local exhibitors are honoring the anniversary.
And then there’s the part everyone remembers: the food. From local nonprofits and community groups to longtime vendors, the food stands serve up the dishes people look forward to all year. Nearby, the Beer, Wine & Cider tent pours from Connecticut makers, and the midway keeps the rides and games going after dark.
