Last night was the season 22 finale of American Idol and it was a jammed pack night of performances!! I predicted it from her stellar audition that Abi Carter would win it all and that she did! She ended the show with the song she auditioned with that started it all Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For.”
The show was also Katy Perry’s final show as an Idol judge after 7 years. When ABC took over American Idol her, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie have been the judges and there’s no official word yet on what the judges table will look like for Season 23. Ryan Seacrest and Luke Bryan have both expressed interest in Meghan Trainor while Katy Perry has been rooting for Jelly Roll.
