Starbucks workers from the Westbury and Garden City locations have filed petitions with the National Labor Relations Board to hold a vote to unionize with Starbucks Workers United.
If the vote is successful they would will join five other unionized Starbucks locations on Long Island – the others being in Farmingville, Massapequa, Wantagh, Westbury Galleria, and Lynbrook.
More than 200 Starbucks stores have unionized nationwide.
