Park officials say asShark washes ashore at Robert Moses State Park on Wednesday.
Swimming was stopped for around two hours when the 6-foot-long sand tiger shark washed up near field 5.
2 other sightings were reported yesterday. A drone that the state uses as part of its shark patrols spotted a shark off Field 4 around 11:15 a.m. A lifeguard then saw another shark off Field 5.
The sightings also caused swimming to be temporarily prohibited.
Swimming has since reopened at the beach.
