Ronkonkoma, NY- Six people were hurt, including one with serious injuries Sunday night in a crash on Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma. Suffolk County Police say 19-year-old Justin Weber of Islip was attempting to make a U-turn front of 2231 Ocean Ave in his 2016 Toyota Avalon, when he was struck by a northbound 2013 Jeep Wrangler at approximately 8:45pm. Police say the driver of the Jeep, 19-year-old Caylee Wendal of Ronkonkoma and her passengers, an 18 year old woman and a 22 year old man, were transported to Stony Brook University for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Officials say Justin Weber, of Islip, was transported to Stony Brook University in critical condition. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to call Suffolk County’s Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
