Hicksville, NY- Smoldering fireworks left in a dumpster are said to have caused a Long Island building to catch fire early Tuesday morning. Nassau County Police say the building fire happened just after midnight at 16 West Marie Street in Hicksville. One firefighter suffered a leg injury responding to the blaze. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
