Montauk Lighthouse makeover

(Montauk, NY)-  The Montauk Lighthouse is getting a makeover.  On Wednesday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced a multi-million dollar contract was awarded to a Bay Shore company for renovations and restorations to the historic monument.  H&L Contracting was awarded a $30.7 million dollars to work on protecting the East End landmark from erosion.  New York State estimates the project will take two years to complete.  Work on the Montauk Lighthouse, is scheduled to begin, Spring 2021.
