8.2% test positive for COVID in Suffolk

(East Farmingdale, NY)- We are now seeing the post-Thanksgiving rise in coronavirus cases in Suffolk County, that health officials had warned us about.  The percentage that tested positive on Thursday in Suffolk County, was 8.2%.  Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, “with the vaccine here, now is not the time to take our eye off the ball… vigilance got us through the first wave, and it will get us through the second as well. Let’s continue to do all that we can to keep our communities safe, our businesses and schools open, and our hospitals with enough capacity to continue their life saving work”.

The rise in COVID-19 cases, isn’t isolated to just Suffolk County, Johns Hopkins University,  on Thursday reported that the US surpassed 17 million COVID cases.
