Southampton Town raises the cupola on historic home

(Southampton, NY)-  The historic Nathaniel Rogers House on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton is undergoing major renovations.  Some members of the Southampton Town Board and the Bridgehampton Museum gathered on Wednesday, November 4, to watch as a cupola was raised and installed on the rooftop.  According to Wikipedia the original cupola was removed after the Great Hurricane of 1938.

Southampton Town says that when renovations are completed, the Nathaniel Rogers House will serve as an active center for historical research and for programs to celebrate the history and cultural traditions of Bridgehampton and surrounding areas.
