The "Hunger Games" coming off another winning weekend. The new five-day total of $110 million bringing its two-week total to close to a half-billion worldwide. The five-day total is a new record, breaking the old one set by "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," in case you're keeping track of things like that. The weekend's number two movie, the debut of Disney's "Frozen," also beat the five-day "Harry Potter" record as well. The rest of the top-5 (three day weekend total followed by five-day total):
5. "Delivery Man," $6 /8.8 million,
4. "The Best Man Holiday," $9.2 /11.8 million,
3. "Thor: The Dark World," $10 /$14.4 million,
2. "Frozen," (debut), $63.8 /90.6 million,
1. "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," $76.6 million (5 days: $110 million).
With "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," opening Dec 18, they're going all out to promote the sequel. Which is why TV viewers in Bismarck, ND, were treated to some real class this weekend when Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy joined the newsteam. Ron, with his 70s style hair and mustache, signature rust-colored three-piece suit and striped tie, sat alongside regular anchor AMBER SCHATZ for KXMB's news broadcast Saturday night. He read stories off the teleprompter and engaged in witty banter with the Bismarck news team. He also clowned around, popping into co-anchor Amber Schatz's screen while she read a story and telling her after a commercial break, "Amber, you look lovely tonight" before asking her if she was married. There’s more, but I don’t want to spoil the fun. Just watch the cast yourself, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9tEqVEc5Bs
First, Robin Thicke has recorded with Ron Burgundy (or actually Will Ferrell, who sings in character) for the Anchorman 2 soundtrack. They’re doing a cover of the early '80s Christopher Cross yacht rock hit "Ride Like the Wind." The soundtrack is due out December 17th, the day before the movie opens. Thicke and Farrell hope to shoot a video for the song before the film comes out, if their schedules allow. (Scroll down to see the full playlist)

You’ll never guess who currently leads in Time magazine's "Person of the Year" poll. The NY Daily News reports, ahead of PRESIDENT OBAMA, EDWARD SNOWDEN or THE POPE… Miley Cyrus has racked -- with up 24 percent of the vote. However, Entertainment Weekly magazine also says at least one website is claiming to have hacked the poll, swinging the wrecking ball in Cyrus' favor. But it doesn't really matter, since, according to the Time magazine rules, the editorial board --and not the online reader poll-- will be picking the winner, which will be announced on Dec 11. On the other hand, if you'd like to vote, head HERE. http://poy.time.com/2013/11/25/vote-now-who-should-be-times-person-of-the-year/slide/poll-results/
Congratulations to SANDRA BULLOCK, who was just named "Entertainer of the Year" by Entertainment Weekly magazine. Her two majorly successful films this year --"Gravity" and "The Heat" -- have raked in over 3/4 of a billion dollars! Despite her immense success, the A-lister's endured her fair share of trouble and admits that "life is a serious of disastrous moments, painful moments, unexpected moments and things that will break your heart." But, in between --she believes it's time to "savor, savor, savor."
