East Patchogue Man Charged in Pharmacy Drug Robbery

Robber was Armed; No One Hurt

Hauppauge (WALK) - The suspect in the armed robbery of a pharmacy the day after Christmas is due in court this morning for arraignment.

Henry Prego, 26, of East Patchogue (pictured right), was allegedly armed with a shotgun when he entered Tompkins Pharmacy on Wheeler Road in Hauppauge and demanded the prescription painkillers oxycontin and roxicodone. It happened around 5pm on Saturday. The suspect fled with a quantity of pills, according to detectives.

After an investigation by police, Prego was charged with first degree robbery. He will be arraigned this morning at First District Court in Central Islip.
