Helping Homeless Pets...by Walking the Dog
A big "thank you" to everyone who took part in the 13th annual Hounds on the Sound Dog Walk in Port Jefferson this past Sunday. That includes my daughter Gabrielle, who hit up our friends and relatives for a total of $205 in pledges, and her walking "buddy," our pug Zoey. That's Zoey pictured above, with her new friend Zoe (yes, two Zoey/Zoes!). Zoe is a "shorkie"- that's half shih tzu, half yorkie. How cute!
In fact, it was an utter sea of cuteness at Hounds on the Sound, and all for a good cause: helping homeless pets. Proceeds benefit Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, a no-kill shelter in Port Jefferson Station.
