For anyone who works hard every day, no matter what your line of work, there is no honor more special than when your peers cite you for your excellence and dedication to your craft. That's what happened last night, when David North of WALK 97.5 FM was recognized by the Press Club of Long Island with its 2011 Phil Spawn Leadership Award. David was honored at last night's annual PCLI Awards Dinner at the Woodbury Country Club.
David has been with WALK for over 15 years now, and although we have great respect for him as a top Long Island reporter, we also have come to love him as a friend. David, your colleagues at WALK are very proud. It's an honor you richly deserve!
