Medford (WALK) - No one was hurt, but it was a close call.
That's what police say after arresting an alleged wrong-way driver on the Long Island Expressway in Medford last night. Warren Levine of Medford is accused of driving west in the eastbound lanes, forcing several other cars to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting Levine's Honda sedan.
Levine, 62, was arrested after an officer stopped him on an entrance ramp to Route 112. The charges against him include drunk driving, reckless driving and driving without a license.
The suspect will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip today.
