Oscar Performances Announced

Oscar Performances Announced

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar will be the only two performers at the Oscars, showing off their chart topping Best Song nominations.  Gaga will sing “Shallow” from “A Star is Born” and Lamar and Sza will perform “All the Stars” from Black Panther.  Producers often will not ask all five nominated songs to be performed, as they are driving toward a hard three-hour time limit.  They are also reportedly discussing handing out some awards during commercial breaks to sound editors and mixers, as most TV viewers are not familiar with those nominees.

Michael Strahan revealed in a recent Time magazine interview that his “amicable” split from his former co-host, Kelly Ripa, wasn’t so much.  He said, “I haven’t spoken to her in a long time.  I learned through all that went down with that, you can’t convince people to like you.”  The former “Live” host is now anchoring the afternoon hour of “Good Morning America.”
