Ellen’s Replacement?!

Ellen’s Replacement?!

Kelly Clarkson

Ellen DeGeneres may be retiring soon.  The comedian revealed to The New York Times that once her contract for her daytime talk show is up in 2020, she might not return.  Reportedly, Kelly Clarkson is being groomed as her replacement, as “The Kelly Clarkson Show” kicks off next year in the time slot before “Ellen.”  But the end of her daytime talk show doesn’t necessarily mean the end of her career.  Ellen’s first stand-up special in 15 years, “Relatable,” comes to Netflix next week.

Is Taylor Swift getting an engagement ring for Christmas?  According to “US Weekly,” her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, is planning on proposing soon.  A pal told the magazine, “But he wants to make it unforgettable and extremely special.  He’s her dream guy.  Taylor’s going to be over the moon.”  They’ve been dating for two years.

Meantime, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are NOT talking marriage.  Gwen explained on “Today” that there’s no rush in getting engaged.  They know they’re together forever, and they’re just enjoying the moment right now.

Super Bowl halftime show performers Maroon 5 are reportedly having trouble finding another act to join them for the big show because so many celebrities do not want to associate themselves with NFL because of the lingering controversy surrounding Colin Kaepernick.

Carson Daly will host NBC’s “New Year’s Eve” with a solid lineup of performers:  Kelly Clarkson, Andy Grammer, and John Legend.  Chrissy Teigen will co-host with Carson along with Leslie Jones.
